       Genital warts are sexually transmitted and extremely contagious infections that are mainly caused by human papilloma virus. Again, it is not only aggravating but also affects your personal relations. Even though genital wart is not a very serious disease but according to the fact that it is a transmitted disease so you will have to be very careful about this because you may have risk. Apart from that it is also one of the disease that difficult to cure because the disease happen on the area that difficult to access and lack of ventilation, so you may feel a bit hard to apply medical treatment on it.

What leads to genital warts?
       The primary cause of genital warts is HPV (Human Papilloma Virus). After someone gets affected, they might not show the symptoms in unison. However, they might become its silent carrier and pass onto others.

Genital warts removal
        The method for healing of genital warts is not easy as it seems to be. It requires a patient approach from surgeon and patient.

Surgical Approach
        To get rid of the wart, the most favored technique is using liquid nitrogen on the affected area. Since Liquid nitrogen has extremely low temperature, it is helpful in killing the tissues and skin of the wart. The lump can be killed and detached easily after small applications. All the surgical treatments depend on the position of the wart.

Over-the-counter Approach (Imiquimod)
        Nowadays, Imiquimod is the favored over-the-counter approach for genital warts removal. Imiquimod is basically used topically for the treatment of warts on anal and genital areas. It does not heal or kill the virus but helps in their removal. New warts can appear even after using the product.

        Most of the physicians prefer surgical approach over topical method for genital warts removal as the latter has numerous side-effects. However, patients favor going against their advice, as topical treatment is less agonizing.
