Topical Treatment with Cream on Genital Warts
Genital Wart Cream is applied topically to cure warts in the genital and anal areas. Imiquimod is the main ingredient of these creams. It facilitates the resistant system of our body to fight against the virus. However, it does not alleviate the warts or kill the virus. New warts can appear after you have completed the treatment.
What are the cares that should be taken?
There are some special cares that should be taken before applying a genital wart cream. They are as follows:
- Without the consent of your doctor, it should not be used during pregnancy.
- It cannot be used inside the genitals or vagina.
- It should not be applied on reddened skin.
- Proper hygiene is important.
- The exaggerated area should be maintained clean and dry to prevent reoccurrences.
Common Side Effects
The most frequent side-effects of using genital wart cream are skin eruption, cough, body pain, itching in genital region, etc.
Genital wart cream helps to cure the disease at home. However, it also requires taking the advice or consulting a physician before using them to prevent its side-effects so you may have to be very careful about this type of treatment or at least have some advice from the doctor for better and effective treatment. |
